The entire cradle (stand) is made out of glass. Gail cuts each piece and arranges them. Then she fires them and that flattens them out. Then she adds the glass dots and fires again in a different way and that melts the dots just enough to mate them to the main part of the stand. It takes about 8 hours to make a single stand.
You just sold your client a pen that they told you it will become their new desk pen. You ask them "do you have a cradle to hold your pen on your desk" as you lay their new pen into one of Gails glass fused pen cradles.
